Kim Kardashian Wants a Baby of Her Own - Limelife Posted: 04 Sep 2009 01:40 PM PDT .
Let's hope they're taking this seriously.Whenever your older sibling gets something before you do, it never seems fair until you get one of your own. So when Kourtney Kardashian announced her pregnancy, her little sister Kim couldn't help but want a baby too. The K sisters went shopping in West Hollywood recently at Bel-Bambini, a trendy baby boutique. But apparently it was more difficult than they thought it would be. After all, how can you shop for a kid if you don't know what kind it's going to be? "I found that really hard," Kim wrote on her blog afterwards, referring, of course, to the fact that no one knows what sex the child is going to be. "I just wanted to shop for pink or blue, haha! I want Kourt and Scott to find out already!!" Kourtney is expecting her first child with boyfriend Scott Disick and is set to give birth sometime in December. In the meantime, all this googoogaga business has gotten the younger Kardashian thinking about her own motherhood. "I want a baby!!!!" she writes. "OK, so maybe not right now, but I can't wait to be an aunt!" One Kardashian at a time, Kimmie. One Kardashian at a time. .

Hearing Set for Henderson Mother Accused of Killing Newborn Son - KOLO TV Reno Posted: 04 Sep 2009 01:33 PM PDT HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) - A judge set a Sept. 15 evidentiary hearing for a 19-year-old mother accused of hiding her pregnancy and killing her newborn son. Carmela Camero was being held Friday at the Clark County jail after an initial appearance Thursday in Henderson Justice Court. Clark County prosecutor Vicki Monroe says Camero will face a murder charge. Camero was arrested Aug. 26 after telling Henderson police she didn't know she was pregnant until she gave birth, and that she smothered the child because she feared her mother would kick her out of the house. Police say Camero also left the body of her stillborn daughter in a trash bin at The Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip in 2006. Camero was 16 at the time. She was not charged in that case. Women call for cheaper health care insurance - La Crosse Tribune Posted: 04 Sep 2009 10:16 PM PDT A Madison-based public interest group brought an 8-foot cutout of a man to Burns Park on Friday to help demonstrate the need for health care reform. But three women who were part of the program detailed the shortcomings of the current health insurance system far better than the plywood and painted "Health Care Harry." Dawn Dial, a hair stylist in La Crosse, now has insurance through her husband. But she spent 15 years without coverage because she couldn't afford it on her own. "It's pretty frightening when you think about the fact that I have a family history of breast cancer," she said. "I'd like to have what every large company offers their employees. I'd like that opportunity, too." Retired nurse Sue Conard has a son and daughter-in-law living in Springfield, Ill. When her daughter-in-law finished nursing school and joined a local clinic, she didn't realize she was pregnant. The insurance company wouldn't cover pregnancy costs because it was a "pre-existing" condition. Once the baby was born, insurance kicked in to cover her daughter-in-law, Conard said. But the baby wasn't covered because they didn't have the family plan. "It would have cost them $700 a month, on top of child care, house payment, utilities, food and all of that other stuff," Conard said. "They simply could not afford it." Fortunately, the state of Illinois offered a child health benefit, similar to Wisconsin's BadgerCare program. Karen Swanson, who owns The Salon business on Seventh Street, used to have health insurance through her husband's employer. She lost that coverage when they divorced, and can't afford a policy as an individual. "I would gladly welcome someone to sit down and show me what affordable health care is," Swanson said. She favors a public health plan as one of the choices in health care reform, she said. The event was sponsored by the Madison-based Wisconsin Public Interest Research Group.
