Alex Reid has Katie ‘connection’ - NZCity Posted: 25 Aug 2009 06:31 PM PDT Katie Price's new boyfriend Alex Reid has spoken of his love for the glamour model, claiming he fell in love with her as soon as they met.
The cage fighter has spoken of his "amazing chemistry" with the glamour model – who split from husband Peter Andre, with who she raises three children, earlier this year – insisting he fell in love with her the first time they met. The 34-year-old actor told New! magazine: "I want to be around her all the time. We have an amazing connection. It's something I can't describe in words. We spend an hour just looking at each other in the eyes – it's mad. Just staring at each other without talking or saying anything. "I have told her I love her pretty much every day since we met. And about 50 million times a day. I've never felt like this. And I've never felt more comfortable and ready for this relationship. "We both fancy the pants off each other, which is great, and we're both really into each other. And she wants to grow. I've sort of surrendered myself to her, by showing her everything about me, and she accepts me." Alex also hinted he and Katie – also known as Jordan – are planning to wed when her divorce from Peter in finalised. He explained: "We want to grow together. I'm living every moment and enjoy what's going on right now, and who knows what the future holds? I mean, we really get on. Amazing. Who knows? "The way we're going, the world's our oyster. I hope we do have a future! I don't want to add any fuel to the fire by saying we are getting married, but I'm enjoying every minute. I hope we have a good, long future together." © 2009 NZCity, Bang ShowbizThis posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
Kourtney Kardashian - Baby Saved My Relationship! - National Ledger Posted: 20 Aug 2009 07:10 AM PDT She says she considered abortion but now Kourtney Kardashian says her pregnancy saved her relationship with Scott Disick. Life & Style reports, that while the Kardashian clan is known for doing everything as a family and when the oldest Kardashian girl, Kourtney, 30, happily announced on Aug. 12 that she was around five months pregnant, her sisters were by her side to show their support. "I'm very excited to be an auntie," Kim, 28, tells Life & Style. "It's a very exciting time in all our lives." And 25-year-old Khlo, who's been on a whirlwind tour with Kourtney to promote their new E! reality show, Kourtney & Khlo Take Miami, has taken on the role of on-the-road mom. "I feel like I have to take care of her more," Khlo told Life & Style at the sisters' Aug. 16 party to celebrate the show at Wet Republic in Las Vegas. "She says, 'I'll just have a banana for breakfast,' and I'm like, 'No, no, no, I have to make you pancakes with bananas.' I'm a little crazy." There will be even more craziness when the baby whose dad is Kourtneys on-again boyfriend, Scott Disick is born in December. We have a million baby sitters, says Khlo, who hopes she and Kourt will be able to continue their reality show next year in another city with the baby. That will depend on her, though, Khlo told Life & Style at the Aug. 15 Chicago celebration of their show at nightclub Enclave. Every time I answer, I say, We.

New dads spooked during pregnancy - Adelaide Now Posted: 25 Aug 2009 08:05 PM PDT ALMOST one third of dads-to-be are not ready to be a father during their partner's pregnancy. A new study, conducted by the creators of the global Being Dad documentaries, has revealed some of the uncertainty and disruption that new fathers feel. The poll, which surveyed more than 2000 new dads found 28 per cent during pregnancy felt they were not ready to be a father. The poll revealed other ways their lives had changed since becoming a father, with 58 per cent feeling worse off financially, 12 per cent wondering if the baby really was theirs and 60 per cent reporting they did not have sex for at least two months after the birth. Another 60 per cent said their relationship with their partner now was more about the baby. SHOULD FATHERS-TO-BE UNDERGO COMPULSORY PARENTING COURSES? Have your say in the poll to the right of the page and in the comment box below. Many new dads seemed to be nervous about the risks associated with childbirth and a newborn, with 37 per cent saying their major emotion after birth was relief and 42 per cent saying their trip home from hospital was the most careful they had driven. David Jones, 32, yesterday spent some time with his two children David, 3, and Charlotte, 2, at Wiggly Worms Play Centre in Glenelg. "I never wanted to have kids and I didn't really touch my first one when he was really young because I was scared of breaking him," Mr Jones said. Since January, the Parkside resident has been a stay-at-home father, while his partner works full-time as an emergency doctor. "Everyone said that once you have kids you lose your life but mine has definitely got better," he said. Creator of the Being Dad series, Troy Jones, said the research revealed how important it was to give more help to first-time dads-to-be. "They are generally scared and worried but want to be great dads," Mr Jones said. Pregnancy Help Australia this weekend is celebrating 30 years, with a conference exploring the developing issues of childbirth, including the changing role of fathers.. Pregnancy advice for women over 35 - Ahwatukee Foothills News Posted: 25 Aug 2009 04:08 PM PDT The concept of "advanced maternal age," or older expectant mothers, has changed as research findings and new technology have armed physicians with better information. Technically, women over 35 are placed in this category because they have more risks during pregnancy. Years ago, the age of 35 was chosen because, at that age, the risk of genetic problems in the fetus was the same as the miscarriage risk to the mother undergoing an invasive genetic test such as amniocentesis. Today, advancements in prenatal testing, like the first trimester ultrascreen, give pregnant women great peace-of-mind and their physicians good, early information. Women approaching 40, and others who have or develop unique health concerns, may require additional care. True, a woman's fertility does decline as she ages; her eggs get older, making conception more difficult. If an older woman becomes pregnant, she will have an increased chance of miscarriage due to possible genetic problems with the fertilized egg. Age increases the likelihood of conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, which are more serious during pregnancy. Pregnant women age 38 to 42 will likely be monitored more closely, as will their developing fetuses. However, an older woman in good health, who is able to conceive and sustain a pregnancy, does not have a family history of other illnesses, and avoids pregnancy complications by remaining physically fit can have a positive experience. Pre-pregnancy counseling is strongly recommended for any woman wishing to conceive, but is particularly important for women of advanced maternal age. During this counseling, a woman's opportunity for conception will be discussed, based on her age, pre-existing conditions, current weight and general health history, and other considerations. Because each woman is different, she must be evaluated individually and given information that will help her understand her personal risk factors and chances for a successful pregnancy

Anna Paquin says uterus 'flattered' by pregnancy rumours - New Zealand Herald Blogs Posted: 25 Aug 2009 05:34 PM PDT 11:59AM Wednesday August 26, 2009Kiwi actress and True Blood vamp Anna Paquin has a very important message she'd like to share with us all: Despite fevered gum-flapping to the contrary, she's not pregnant; although her uterus thanks us for all the attention. Let's rewind. Celebrity gossip blogs were buzzing last week after Paquin was snapped sporting a baggy dress in Beverly Hills. Snitches were convinced the star had a ciabatta in the oven. But her rep finally put paid to the pesky rumours and issued the obligatory "not pregnant" denial. Case closed. Although publicists are trained mouthpieces on a payroll, hired to bend an inconvenient truth at their clients' behest, we're inclined to believe that Paquin is indeed not in the pudding club. But don't take our word for it; let's hear it straight from the horse's mouth, as it were. Speaking to reporters at a Nylon magazine party in West Hollywood this week, Paquin revealed: "My uterus is really flattered that everyone cares," she quipped. "But sorry, no occupants." We couldn't have put it better ourselves. Meanwhile, her fiancé, hunky True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer, has opened up about how he proposed to the Kiwi lass. Speaking to AccessHollywood.com, Brit Moyer said the hit TV show inspired the loved-up pair's trip to the location where he popped the question. "There was a song in the first season, White Sandy Beach in Hawaii, which was kind of funny and ironic... [It] all started out as a joke and then we decided to go to Hawaii with my kids this year," he explained. Gushing Moyer, dad to Lilac, 5, and Billy, 8, from prior relationships, added that he asked Paquin to marry him "on a white sandy beach in Hawaii." "Actually," he added, "it wasn't quite white." And just when we thought this romance couldn't get any slushier, out pops the gem that Moyer lended a hand in designing Paquin's engagement ring. "A friend of mine is the jeweller, Kathy Waterman," he said. "So I went to Kathy and we did some designs." Form an orderly queue, ladies. No hurry The couple got engaged earlier this month, but Paquin says she has no plans to rush down the aisle just yet. E! News caught up with the star at the Nylon party and asked her about the bling on her ring finger, and when the big day was. "We're OK with just the engagement right now," she dished. "There's no plans as of yet. We're in no hurry!"
Nude, not rude The lovely Paquin graces the front cover of the current issue of Nylon magazine, between the covers of which she talks openly about her flesh-flashing in vamp series True Blood. Fact: When it comes down to disrobing and baring all on TV, Paquin says she has absolutely no problem with it. "I don't think a naked body is particularly shocking or interesting," she said. "It's not the culture I was raised in," she added. "I was not brought up in the United States. I don't share the [attitude] that you can have graphic violence, but - God forbid - you see someone's nipples." The actress, 27, says she's not bothered about baring her breasts. "It's like, I'm sorry, maybe there are a lot of women who keep their bras on while they have sex...I don't happen to be one of them," she concluded. Probably helps that the man she's sharing her nudity with is his her fiancé. It hurts so good We're huge True Blood fans over here (not that it shows) and can't wait for the second season to start on September 2. Yep, we're so ready for seconds. And to whet our unquenchable appetite the good folk at Prime are re-broadcasting the nail-biting conclusion to season one this evening (Wednesday) at 8:30pm. And there's more...we've got our mitts on a couple of videos starring True Blood's creator Alan Ball, where he waxes lyrical about the show, and most importantly, dishes out some teasing hints about what's to come in season 2. Suck in your guts, guys, and feast your eyes on this lot:
Season 2 starts on Prime, Sept 2, 9:30pm. Wino's back They say you can't keep a good one down for long... And here she is. Amy Winehouse graced the stage at the V Festival in Essex on Saturday, a year on from when she gave a shambolic performance at the very same festival.
There's hope for her yet. What the Rourke? You might want to put down your lunch before taking a butchers at Mickey Rourke lapping up the sun while on his hols in Croatia. Time has not been kind to old Rourkey: From this ... to this Not a good look. Samantha who? Someone might want to jump-start Jude Law's memory. The Brit actor and baby daddy to wannabe actress Samantha Burke's love child, currently starring in Hamlet on London's West End, apparently had no recollection of who she was before the scandal broke. A snitch said: "Jude didn't even remember (Samantha). She hasn't seen him since New York. They've only been in contact through their lawyers." Hamlet is about to transfer to Broadway, New york, from next month - which also happens to be where Burke resides. Given his amnesia, we doubt a reconcilliation is on the cards. Lip syncher Reality TV star Heidi Montag, for no other reason than to pimp her burgeoning ego, performed at the Miss Universe 2009 competition. Needless to say she lip-synched her way through the performance. Although she disagrees: "I was as live as live can be," Montag said. Her hubby Spencer Pratt agreed: "It was the livest performance in history." What do you think?
Quote of the day "I have cellulite. I admit it. But sometimes I just say, 'Screw it, I am going to wear a bikini. I think I look good for my age. I am not 25; I am 43. That feels like a big pressure, especially when the National Enquirer is dying to get a picture," - Cindy Crawford embraces her orange peel. This just in: Megan Fox has reportedly signed up to play Catwoman in the next Batman flick. Details here And on a more serious note We don't often get personal in this blog, but on this occasion we heartfully make an exception.
